Nigeria U20 women’s coach, Moses Aduku, has called up Bayelsa Queens forward Janet Akekoromowei and 18 other players for this month’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda, www.aclsports.com reports.

Akekoromowei, who impressed at the WAFU B qualifiers in Côte d’Ivoire, is joined on the squad by 2024 WAFCON winner Miracle Usani, as well as Taiwo Afolabi, Joy Igbokwe, and Alaba Olabiyi.

The Falconets, who camped in Abuja while preparing for the qualifiers, will face Rwanda in the first leg of the second-round qualifier on Sunday, 21 September, at Kigali’s Pelé Stadium. They will depart the country on Thursday ahead of the trip, before returning home for the return leg at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Saturday, 27 September.
