Flying Eagles striker Kparobo Arierhi continued his fine goalscoring run for Sogndal in the 2-1 defeat to parent club Lillestrøm in the Norwegian Cup on Wednesday night, reports www.aclsports.com.
The 19-year-old forward, who started the game against his parent club on the bench, scored moments after coming on, extending his impressive scoring streak to four consecutive matches.
After a goalless first half, Lillestrøm went in front through Henrik Melland’s 66th-minute opener, just five minutes after Arierhi replaced Tuomas Pippola. However, the Beyond Limits FA product needed just 14 minutes to make his mark in the Norwegian Cup encounter.
Arierhi levelled the score after being set up by Emmanuel Mensah, only for Lillestrøm to regain their lead just a minute later through Fredrik Gulbrandsen, and the hosts held on for a 2-1 victory in the cup.
Arierhi has now scored seven goals in all competitions for Sogndal this season, with six coming in 11 league appearances and the other in the Norwegian Cup.
