Veteran striker Sikiru Alimi has reunited with former head coach Daniel Ogunmodede at Kano Pillars for the remainder of the 2026/27 season, reports www.aclsports.com.
Alimi, who last played in the NPFL two seasons ago, featured for Algerian side JS Soura last season before returning to Nigeria.
Alimi started training with Kano Pillars a few days ago and was part of the squad that drew goalless with Warri Wolves on Sunday.

Apart from working together with the CHAN team in 2025, Ogunmodede and Alimi worked at Remo Stars where they both won the club’s first and only NPFL title in 2025.
The forward has previously played for Warri Wolves, Shooting Stars, Sunshine Stars and a host of others in the Nigerian league.
Ogunmodede will hope that the addition of Alimi can improve his side’s goal scoring as the 2026/27 season progresses.
