CAF has approved Edo Queens’ player replacements for the continuation of their CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B qualifying final against Ampem Darkoa Ladies, www.aclsports.com reports.

Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and Oluebube Umejiaku are the players affected by the change, as both are currently with Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.

The Flamingos face Mexico in the Round of 16 on Thursday, October 29, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 p.m. WAT. On the same day, Edo Queens resume their final against Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the Canal Old Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, with kick-off set for 12 noon.

CAF ordered the match to resume from the beginning of extra time, with the score at 2-2, after annulling Edo Queens’ penalty shoot-out victory over Ampem Darkoa Ladies in their September 5 encounter in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The teams will play two 15-minute periods of extra time, with a penalty shoot-out required if the score remains level.

The winner will join Group B of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League alongside USFAS Bamako, AS FAR and Kawempe Muslim Ladies. The tournament is scheduled to run from November 1 to 15 in Egypt.
