NTF plans to organise championship in Borno

The President of Nigeria Taekwondo Federation, Margaret Binga on Wednesday said preparations are in top gear to seed the hosting of a National Competition to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

Binga disclosed this while addressing coaches shortly after the Taekwondo event at the ongoing National Youth Games in ilorin.

The President said the federation is going to visit the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) and teach them basic skills in Taekwondo.

“There will be a program in Maiduguri and this will show that they are loved by sports men and women. Don’t be scared, the North East is safe and the federation will pay a visit to the IDP”.

“When the Youths are positively engaged nobody will cajole them into committing crime and social vices”.

She urged coaches and officials to encourage discipline among the athletes adding that talent without discipline is a waste.
