The head coach of Nigeria senior handball team, Solomon Yola has included Ibrahim Dikko, Faruk Yusuf and Akorede Kuti in his 14-man list for the 2023 IHF Emerging Nations Championship.

The fourth edition of the IHF Emerging Nations Handball Championship will take place between 25th to 30th April in Bulgaria.

Yola recalled Kingsley Okubuike and Adamolugbe Oladunjoye who participated in the third edition in Georgia where Nigeria finished 7th position.

www.aclsports.com gathered that junior goalkeeper, Obinna Okwor (Confluence Stars) will miss out of the championship due to official engagement while John Shagari (Sokoto Rima) was not granted visa after meeting necessary requirements.

10 players departed Abuja, Nigeria capital on Saturday morning and will depart for Bulgaria on Sunday night (23rd April).

Nigeria take on host Bulgaria on April 26, after which they will face Azerbaijan the next day (April 27th).

Foreign based Obinna Anih and Faruk Yusuf are expected to link up with the team in Bulgaria on Monday (April 24th).

The coaching crew consists of Solomon Yola (Head Coach), Yekini Adebayo (Assistant Coach) and Bala Mohammed (Technical Adviser).
