Nigeria U17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, defeated Diamond Stars Sporting Queens 11-0 in a friendly in Abuja on Tuesday ahead of the 2026 WAFU B U17 Girls Cup, www.aclsports.com reports.
Captain Harmony Chidi was the standout performer with four goals, while Mary Dunstan scored a hat-trick. Tobi Sarafa, Chisom Emmanuella Chukwuemeka and Koasarat Akanji also got on the scoresheet, with Diamond Stars conceding an own goal.
The victory follows a 3-0 win over Youngstar Football Academy last Friday, with Chukwuemeka, Chidi and Dunstan scoring for Akeem Busari’s side.
The Flamingos are drawn in Group B of the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup alongside Ghana, Togo and Niger. They are also preparing for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026.
