Newly promoted Doma United beat Enyimba 2-0 on Saturday to maintain their 100% start to the 2026/27 NPFL season, www.aclsports.com reports.
The Savannah Tigers scored in both halves through Sadiq Rilwan and Yusuf Fantami to put the former champions to the sword for their second consecutive home win of the season.
Enyimba came into the fixture on the back of an opening day loss at Tornadoes, and after Doma United won in Lagos last weekend, it became imperative for them to pick something in Gombe. However, Deji Ayeni’s boys were at their best once again to secure another three points on home soil.
After a fine start, the home side went ahead through Sadiq Rilwan just after the half-hour mark with his third goal in three games. The Tigers took the lead into the break, and just 20 minutes before the end, the home side doubled their lead through Yusuf Fantami to seal the win.
Doma United have now taken 9/9 points to kick-start the season, and they will be hoping to avoid a repeat of the 2023/24 season where they went down despite being top of the log at the end of the first half of the season.
