The high-intensity encounter saw the Super Falcons assert their dominance early on, with Chiwendu Ihezuo opening the scoring in the 34th minute. Star striker Asisat Oshoala doubled Nigeria’s lead with a composed penalty conversion just before halftime in the 44th minute, her first goal for the Super Falcons since October 31, 2023.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade extended the lead with a clinical finish in the 55th minute, making it 3-0 for the Nigerian side. Ghana’s Alice Kusi pulled one back late in the game to register a consolation goal for the Black Queens.

The match served as Nigeria’s final warm-up before their WAFCON 2024 campaign begins.

Up next for the Super Falcons is their Group B opener against Tunisia on Sunday, 6 July, at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca. They will go on to face Botswana and Algeria in their remaining group stage fixtures.

With their final preparations wrapped up in style, the Super Falcons will look to carry their momentum into the tournament as they seek a record-extending 10th continental title.
