Elkanemi Warriors and Ikorodu City will face off in the 2026 President Federation Cup final later this month, www.aclsports.com reports.

2024 champions Elkanemi Warriors face Wikki Tourists in Katsina – in a game between newly relegated teams from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Both sides have shown determination and strength to dispatch a couple of top-flight and second division sides to reach the last four. Still, it was the Warriors who were interested in reaching the final with a dominant first-half performance.

Midfielder Daddy Abdulrahman, Musa Bashir, and Muktar Ismail scored the goals for the Borno Army, leaving the Elephants a mountain to climb in the second half of the contest. Wikki pulled one back through Bala Imamu from the spot just after the hour mark, but that was it, as Elkanemi booked their spot in a second cup final in three years.

🏆 THE FINALS ARE SET!

In the other semifinal game decided at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Ikorodu City and Nasarawa United played out a 1-1 draw in regulation time before a penalty shoot-out was needed to determine who would reach the final in Asaba.

In-form Ikorodu City striker Ibrahim Ayoola, who scored twice against Barau FC in the previous round, opened the scoring with a composed finish in the 11th minute before United levelled from Bright Amadi’s cornerkick delivery just before the break. The second half saw the two goalkeepers called into action briefly, but none of the sides could find the winner.

In the shoot-out, IKC goalkeeper Derrick Julu once again emerged as the hero, saving two penalties to help the Lagos side secure a 4-2 victory and book their place in a first major final.

The 2026 President Federation Cup final between Elkanemi Warriors and Ikorodu City is billed to take place at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on June 27.
