Coach Anthony Torbundeh said Benue Queens have a point to prove at the 2019 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League in Asaba.

Benue Queens will face Nigeria Customs Service in their first game at the indoor sports hall of Late Stephen Keshi International stadium.

Torbundeh told www.aclsports.com that he considers his team as one of the underdogs of the league.

He said Benue Queens are looking for a better outing in the 2019 Premier League.

He said, “Everyone at the league has a point to prove including Benue Queens but when you put your house together like we have done, every result is going to be possible. Benue Queens will take every match seriously and make analysis of weak points and adjustment.

“I guarantee you that our outing will be fruitful, much better than what we had last year; my team is looking forward to a better outing this time around”.

He further said, “If we are intimidated by other teams, we will not even play in the league, so you consider yourself as one of those underdogs and when you do that the sky is your limit”.

The ex international revealed that his team has going through some surgical processes and the team has been beefed.

He said, “Well I am keeping my cards close to my chest, I will not be disclosing my best players but I tell you we have a good crop of players who will do us proud. Every player in volleyball is as good as the other whether you are playing on the court as first six, or you are coming in as a substitute”.
