Head Coach of Ogun U21 team, Isiaka Olorunisola said it would have been a shame not winning a match at the ongoing National U18 & 21 handball championships.

Future Pro of Ogun state beat Kwara state 40-39 in the U21 male game at the outdoor court of Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos.

Olorunisola told www.aclsports.com that the next target is to win the bronze medal match against Lagos on Saturday.

He said, “I am so excited; I cannot come to a competition and lose all my matches. Due to some technical issues, we lost some of our crucial games but I told my boys that it would be disastrous if we leave this championship without winning a game.

“I have one bronze medal game tomorrow which I am going to win for my team. My boys are ready for the do or die game tomorrow. The last time I was in Lagos, I won the U12 championship and here I will win another medal”.

Olorunisola said the goalkeeper, Kayode Ademoye save his team from defeat.

He said, “During previous games, the goalkeeper was sick and has a back problem. After we discovered that, we took him to the hospital, he was treated and he told us to field him for the game against Kwara state. Now you saw the best of him and he saved us from defeat”.
