Bayelsa Queens started strongly and opened the scoring in the 14th minute through Janet Akekoromowei, marking her first goal for the club since joining from Nasarawa Amazons. Shakirat Moshood doubled the advantage in the 35th minute, netting her third goal of the tournament after scoring in each of Bayelsa’s previous two group matches.

Sam Nelly pulled one back in the 44th minute through Kalu Favour, giving her side hope heading into halftime.

The Prosperity Girls quickly reasserted control after the interval. Alaba Olabiyi restored the two-goal cushion in the 55th minute with her second goal of the tournament, before Akekoromowei completed her brace in the 59th minute to seal a 4-1 victory.

Akekoromowei’s brilliant performance earned her the Player of the Match award, highlighting her pivotal role in Bayelsa Queens’ dominant win.

With three wins from three games, Bayelsa Queens top Group B and will now face USFA of Burkina Faso, runners-up from Group A, for a place in the final.
