AFCON2019: Big teams like Cameroon are easier to play

Ahead of Nigeria’s all-important AFCON2019 round of 16 match against Cameroon later on Saturday, Wilfred Ndidi is expecting an easier game against the Indomitable Lions.

In the first of two round of 16 clashes slated for Saturday in the Total AFCON 2019, Nigeria and Cameroon rekindle their fierce rivalry when they take to the pitch in Alexandria.

So, speaking in an interview with @thenff  Ndidi says matches against big teams like Cameroon are “sometimes easier” as there is no room to underrate them.

“Cameroon is a very good side, very difficult as they have got a good physique and technical players, ” Ndidi began.

“It is going to be a good one (match). Sometimes, I think the big teams are easier to play (against) than the smaller countries.”

“Other countries, you might belittle them but with big teams, so many tactical game and discipline will be in the game. It will be a good one, ” the Leicester City midfielder added.

The game on Saturday will be the 23rd meeting between the neighbours but Nigeria has the upper hand, the Super Eagles are unbeaten in 18 of the previous 22.
