2019 African Games gold medallists, Dorcas Adesokan and Anuoluwapo Opeyori as well as 10 others will represent Nigeria at the 13th African Games in Ghana from 8th to 23rd March.

In a list obtained by www.aclsports.com, the team consists of 6 men, 6 women and four coaches.

The list of the men’s players is; Anuoluwapo Opeyori, Aliyu Shehu, Victor Ikechukwu, Emmanuel Joseph, Godwin Olofua and Musa Momoh.

Former African number one, Dorcas Adesokan; Zainab Alabi, Ramatu Yakubu, Grace Gabriel, Deborah Uke and Sofiat Obanisola made the list of women’s team

Five times African champion, Anuoluwapo Opeyori is aiming to successfully defend his African Games title in Ghana this month.

“I am going to Ghana to defend the title I won 5 years ago. Between 2019 and 2024, I have attended several International Championships including the Olympic Games playing against some of the best players in the world.

“I have more playing time and recently on gold in the 2024 All Africa Seniors Championship including the 2024 Uganda Open. This has put me in top going into the African Games.” he told www.aclsports.com
