Ardova League: Four losses for Bayelsa, 4 wins for TojeMarine

It is four losses for Bayelsa Queens who are yet to win a match at the ongoing second phase of the 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League in Lagos.

Bayelsa Queens lost to Bendel Dynamos 24 to 30 goals in their fourth match of the league. In their first match, Bayelsa Queens lost to Rima Queens by 21 to 30 goals, bowed to Defenders Babes 25 to 29 goals and succumbed to Delta Queens 15 to 29 goals.

Bayelsa Queens are currently 9th position on the log with 17 points from two wins (from the 1st phase) and 11 losses. In what can be described as a shocker, Delta Queens beat Imo Grasshoppers by three goals difference 29 to 26 goals.

Meanwhile, TojeMarine Academy of Lagos have recorded their fourth consecutive win of the league after overpowering Correction Boys 29 to 22 goals. TojeMarine are 2nd position with 39 points from 12 wins and three losses.

Niger United also continued their impressive run by defeating Bendel Dynamos 36 to 17 goals to remain firmly on the table with 42 points while Kano Pillars recorded their first win against Benue Buffaloes 33 to 24 goals.

The head coach of Kano Pillars, Solomon Yola told www.aclsports.com that he is not happy with the results of his team.

He said, “I am not impressed with the results; we have been unlucky but this win means a lot to the team. We are coming all out in our next match against Confluence Stars on Saturday “.
