Senegal are the first team to confirm their place in the 2019 FIFAU20WC round of 16 after a 2-0 win over Colombia on Sunday.
Senegal made it two wins in as many matches thanks to two penalties in either half against the South American nation.
Ibrahima Niane put them ahead from the spot on 21 minutes before Ousseynou Niang doubled their advantage also from the spot with five minutes to go.
The West Africans held on for the win that means they are through to the next phase of the competition and lead Group A with six points.
Up next for them is tie against the hosts, Poland, who bounced back emphatically against whipping boys of the group, Tahiti, on Wednesday.
Italy joins Senegal
Another team to book their place in the round of 16 is European side, Italy.
The Italians saw off ten-man Ecuador, who had Jackson Porozo sent off for a malicious tackle, at Bydgoszcz thanks to a lone strike from the captain, Andrea Pinamonti.
Ecuador had a chance to get at least a point when they were awarded a penalty but Italy’s goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari pulled off a brilliant stop to deny Leonardo Campana
Italy lead group B with six points and have also confirmed their place in the next round.
They face Japan on their final group game while Ecuador battle Mexico.
