22 teams for National Handball Premier League

A total of 22 handball teams will participate in this year’s National Handball Premier League slated for Benin, Edo state on June 30th, www.aclsports.com gathered.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary General of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) Umar Lambu, the premier league will be held from the 30th June to 12th July 2023 at the Indoor Sports Hall of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Topping the list of the 12 men’s team are Kano Pillars, Safety Shooters, Niger United, Lagos Seasiders, De Defenders, Sokoto Rima, Benue Buffaloes, TojeMarine, Confluence Stars, Police Machine, Nigeria Correctional Service and Bendel Dynamos.
Defending champion, Safety Babes, Plateau Peacocks, Imo Grasshoppers, Bendel Dynamos, Seasiders Babes, Defender Babes, Rima Queens, Benue Queens, Bayelsa Queens, and Delta Queens are the 10 women’s teams participating in the Premier League.
Lambu also said all transfers/loans of players should be concluded on or before June 25, 2023, while urging team officials to make haste in concluding the registration process ahead of the commencement of the league matches.
Kano Pillars and Safety Babes won the 2022 Prudent Energy Handball League in the men’s and women’s categories while Nigeria Correctional Service, Bendel Dynamos, Bayelsa Queens, and Delta Queens got promoted to the league from the 2022 National Division 1 Handball League.
