He said, “We have a great squad to do well, I am proud to be part of this great team to the 2024 Handball Nations Cup. We fight for the team because it’s a privilege to play for Nigeria,” Agbaji told www.aclsports.com

“They will see a different Golden Arrow, we’re working very hard. With determination, we can scale through the group stages because the team has a lot of good players.

“Playing at my fourth African Nations Cup is another opportunity to gather more experience and make my country proud,” he said to www.aclsports.com.

The former Kano Pillars HC player revealed that the young players are willing to give their best for the nation.

He said, “This era, we have a lot of younger players who are willing to give their very best. The plan of the Handball Federation of Nigeria is a rebuilding project, and I believe they can make a huge statement.

On his intentions of playing outside Africa, Agbaji said, “I have dreams and aspirations of playing in Europe but I am still waiting for the opportunity to come. Before the opportunity arrives, I will continue to improve my skills and pray my dreams become a reality”.

Nigeria will face Angola on Wednesday (January 17th) by 3pm in their first match at the 2024 African Senior Men’s Handball Nations Cup in Cairo, Egypt.
