Swedish match video analyst, Igor Krulj, has been appointed to the role for nine-time African champions as they gear up for the 2024 WAFCON in Morocco, www.aclsports.com reports.

Krulj, a UEFA Pro License holder and chief scout at IFK Värnamo, is expected to provide tactical insight as Nigeria targets a 10th WAFCON title.

With years of experience in Swedish elite football, Krulj has served as head coach of Halmstads BK and as both coach and sporting director at Örgryte IS.

He joins a growing list of experienced specialists on the Falcons’ technical crew, including fitness coach Per Karlsson, who rejoined the team in May for a friendly against Cameroon in Abeokuta.

The 13th edition of the WAFCON runs from July 5 to 26, 2025. Nigeria has been drawn into Group B and will begin its campaign on July 6 against Tunisia, before facing Algeria and Botswana, all matches scheduled to be played in Casablanca.

Krulj will work alongside head coach Justin Madugu, assistant coach Ann Agumanu-Chiejine, fitness coach Per Karlsson, and goalkeeper trainer Auwal Makwalla, as the Super Falcons finalize preparations for the continental tournament.
