Former Flying Eagles coach Isah Ladan Bosso has been returned to his post, eleven years after he was relieved of his duty, reports www.aclsports.com

Bosso was made famous for his racism allegation against England referee Howard Webb after Nigeria’s Under 20s lost to Chile at the quarter-final stage of the World Youth Championship in 2007.

Bosso continued in the job till two years later before he was dismissed after his 2009 Flying Eagles set finished third at the African Youth Championship in Rwanda with public complaints over his team’s lacklustre display.

Bosso has since then handled several teams in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) including Wikki Tourists, Bayelsa United, Abia Warriors, El-Kanemi Warriors, FC Ifeanyiubah among others.

He has now been appointed as head coach of the U20s in a dramatic return to national team duties. Bosso will be assisted by Oladunni Oyekale, apparently a relation of Nigeria’s Minister for Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare.

Fatai Amoo has also been named head coach of the U17 team, Golden Eaglets.

Also on Friday, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) named head coaches for the men and women’s under-aged teams with another first generation name Fatai Amoo resurfacing as the head coach of the U17s; the Golden Eaglets.

Christopher Danjuma retains what has become his birthright position as the head coach of the women’s U20 team; the Falconets while Bankole Olowookere was rewarded for his good start with the U17 girls by being named in permanent capacity.

All four under-age teams will be involved in crunchy qualifiers before the end of this year.
