Former Nigeria U19 handball player, Abdulrahaman Abdulazeez told www.aclsports.com that Coach Emeka Nnamani groomed and improved his playing skill.

Abdulrahaman Abdulazeez plays for Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Shooters in the Prudent Energy Handball League.

Abdulrahaman Abdulazeez played at the 2019 World U19 Handball Championship in Macedonia where Nigeria finished second place.

Abdulazeez said, “My great coach Emeka Nnamani is a man who spots talent. I played in his academy before signing for COAS Shooters. He groomed me, taught me basic skills in my formative days and has improved my skills as I grow into a better player.

“He is a jovial type off the court but on the court, he does not joke with his training programmes. His experience is second to none and I give kudos to him”.

The former Kada Stars player expressed joy over the news surrounding the resumption of the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League.

He added that COAS shooters will pull a surprise when they meet with other teams next month.

He said, “I was not expecting any news on training and resumption of the league this year but I am excited that my team is back to training.

“I believe I am going for the first position this time around when the league begins. COAS shooters will pull a surprise and correct some of our mistakes.”
