Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan (3SC) chairman, Taiwo Lekan Salami, has revealed that his side has serious ambitions going into the new football season, www.aclsports.com reports.
The chairman, who was speaking at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan before the club’s training session on Tuesday, was delighted to see the side return to Ibadan after days of close camping in Abeokuta.
”There is nothing like being back at this stadium[Adamasingba]. It feels good to be back home,” an elated TLS said to 3SCFansTV on Tuesday.
Following a poor outing at the ValueJet preseason tournament in Ikenne, Salisu Yusuf was named new head coach and the club moved to Abeokuta to intensify preparations ahead of the new season. The side then returned to Ibadan on Sunday ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season opener against Inter Lagos on Friday.

”We are cooking something special, and we would serve the fans the delicacy starting from this Friday against Inter Lagos. We have got a new coach, and new players are coming in,” Salami added.
”We have serious ambitions this year. We want to win the league, do well in the CAF Confederation Cup, and win the Federation Cup. We have a good squad. So, I believe we will achieve something special this season,” Salami concluded with his side’s ambitions for the new season.
Shooting Stars returned to the continent for the first time in 27 years last season, and they have been handed a tough draw in the first round of the qualifiers. Salisu and the Oluyole Warriors will be hoping for an opening-day win against Inter Lagos on Friday as the new campaign begins.
