W/lifting: Emmanuel Appah eyes African title in Madagascar

National Weightlifting Champion, Emmanuel Appah told www.aclsports.com that his target is to win the title at the African Championship next month.

The 2021 African Weightlifting Championship will hold from 16th to 22nd May in Antananarivo, Madagascar. The former Junior African Champion revealed that it is his dream to win an African title in addition with his African Games laurels.

Appah revealed that the medals he won at the National Sports Festival will propel him to strive harder in weightlifting.

He said, “I am seriously training hard to feature at the African Championship in Madagascar with the aim of winning my category. I have gather experience in the past years and I am prepared to announce myself to the world.

“I was at the 2019 African Games in Morocco and won three gold medals; now I want to win an African title in the continental championship where there are stiffer competitors. I know with the trainings I receive from my coach in Nigeria, the medal is coming home with me”.
