Head coach of the Nigeria U20 female team, Christopher Danjuma has released the final list of 21 players heading to France for the U20 Women’s World Cup in August.

Two of Nigeria’s young female stars: Rasheedat Ajibade – last season’s highest goalscorer and player of the season in the women’s league and Anam Imo who is currently the highest goalscorer in the Nigerian Women’s Football League are expected to spearhead the attack for the Falconers in France.

Full list of players include:

Goalkeepers: Chiamaka Nnadozie (Rivers Angels), Okeke Onyinyechukwu (Edo Queens), Rita Akarekor (Sunshine Queens)

Defenders: Famuditi Oluwakemi (Confluence Queens), Ezekiel Blessing (Rivers Angels), Ogbonna Glory (Ibom Angels), Duru Joy (Nasarawa Amazons), Ologbosere Mary (Rivers Angels), Sunday Opeyemi (Sunshine Queens)

Midfielders: Saiki Mary (Rivers Angels), Ucheibe Christy (Nasarawa Amazons), Efih Peace (Edo Queens), Saheed Adebisi (Bayelsa Queens), Amoo Bashirat (Confluence Queens), Odueke Taibat (Edo Queens)

Attackers:  Monday Gift (FC Robo Queens), Ajibade Rasheedat (FC Robo Queens, Chidinma Okeke (FC Robo Queens), Igboamalu Grace Chinyere (Nasarawa Amazons), Anam Imo (Nasarawa Amazons), Bello Aishat (Nasarawa Amazons)

The tournament will take place between the 5th – 24th of August. The Falconets who have been grouped alongside three-time Champions, Germany; debutants, Haiti and China will start their quest for glory on the 6th against the Germans.
