Record U20 Africa Cup of Nations (U20 AFCON) winners, Flying Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn in group of death in the qualification series for the continental competition, reports www.aclsports.com

The Nigerian U20s will face regional rivals Black Satellites of Ghana and Petité Elephants of Coted’voire in Group B of the UFOA B Qualification series for next year’s main tournament to be staged in Mauritania.

In the draws held on Tuesday and monitored by www.aclsports.com, host nation (for the UFOA B qualifiers) Togo were drawn in Group A alongside Niger Republic, Benin and Burkina Faso.

The competition will commence on November 14 in Lome, the Togolese capital with seven countries from the West African zone B in attendance.

The top two teams (finalists) in each qualification zone will qualify for the main tournament which has now been expanded to twelve teams, in Mauritania next year.

Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso is about now being inducted and introduced to members of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee in Abuja.

The Flying Eagles are expected to start preparations for the WAFU UFOA B zonal qualification tournament this week in Abuja after the Federal Government lifted restrictions on contact sports late last weekend.

Nigeria have won the U20 Africa Cup of Nations seven times, at least three times more than any other African country.
