Congo’s Saheed Idowu is ranked 7th in Africa and 160th in the World according to the latest ITTF rankings during the weekend.

The Ibadan born table tennis player told www.aclsports.com attributed lack of tournament to his drop at the ranking.

He expressed optimism returning to the top five ranked player soon.

Idowu said, “About my latest ranking, I feel happy seeing myself among Africa top players in the world but I know I can do better. Before now, I have been ranked number 149 in the world but in the last two months, I have missed some African tournaments which has affected my ranking”.
