The head coach of Safety Babes, Bala Mohammed says his team is ready to retain the Prudent Energy Handball League title.

The 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League kicks off from 30th October to 14th November, 2020 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

Mohammed told www.aclsports.com that his team is emotionally, mentally and physically fit to take on any team in the league.

He said Safety Shooters (the male team) will bounce back from their last season’s campaign as they narrowly missed out of the title in 2019.

Mohammed also known as “Bala Planner” said he does not have a specific starting team because the dynamics of handball are changing by the day

The National team handler said, “Safety Babes are coming all out to defend the title we won last year. I am aware that most teams want to beat us but there is no time for complacency. The girls are in the best form of their lives and this is an opportunity to cement our dominance in the country.

“The men’s team (Safety Shooters) has what it takes to surprise other team. The men’s defending champion, Kano Pillars are a good side but they are going down this time around. Since it is a round robin league, every team is a threat and we will approach every game with upmost seriousness”.

Mohammed said the league is improving by the year from the sponsorship angle, to the players’ transfer and the administration of the game.

He urged the officials, especially the referees to improve on their officiating.
