Three European countries are battling to sign Prince Feyisetan Are as the Technical Director of their respective Para Powerlifting Federations.

According to sources at the International Para Powerlifting Committee, Albania, North Macedonia and Vatican City have made inquiries on the eligibility of the former Technical Director of Nigeria Para Powerlifting Federation.

The source told www.aclsports.com that the countries intend carting away medals at subsequent international championships starting from European tournaments to the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

She said, “Albania, North Macedonia and Vatican City have seen the intimidating curriculum vitae (CV) of Feyisetan Are and they feel he is the man that can take them to the promise-land. The athletes he trained are performing creditably well at various tournaments and we hope they hope he can replicate same”.

When www.aclsports.com contacted Coach Feyisetan Are, he claimed that some countries have contacted him but he rejected the offers due to his loyalty to Nigeria.

Coach Are revealed that he is ready to stick with his fatherland (Nigeria) adding that the focus is on how to win more laurels for the country at the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics.

He said, “I have been contacted by a couple of countries to be either their head coach or technical adviser. But my answer has always been NO because I have a lot of mission to accomplish with upcoming and established lifters despite not been employed by the country.

Feyisetan has trained lifters from the scratch like Paul Kehinde, Folashade Oluwafemiayo, Bose Omolayo, Jegede Bambo, Iyabo Asunmo and a host of others to become World Champions and Paralympic champions.

Are was also instrumental to the country hosting the first ever International Para Powerlifting Championship held in Lagos.
