[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After several months of preparation and planning, the 4th edition of the much anticipated ITTF Challenge Nigeria Open 2017 went to full swing today at the Molade Okoya Thomas Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere-Lagos.

Day 1 action began with the male and female U-21 qualifying series and one of the best contests of this round came in the game between Nigerian duo – Abosede Odusanya and Funke Hassan. Bose Odusanya rallied from two sets down to defeat her compatriot Funke by 4 sets to 3 (4-3) in the fiercely contested encounter.

The male and female singles qualifiers followed afterwards as Nigeria’s Aiyelbegan Sukurat white-washed South Africa’s Mookrey Simeen 4-0 in the women’s singles qualifiers to progress to the next round.

The qualifiers will continue on Day 2 as we bring you the best of the action from the Seamaster ITTF Challenge Nigeria Open 2017.
