Immediate past Vice-President of the Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF), Dr Musa Oshodi has advised the federation to be objective in selecting athletes that would represent the country at the forthcoming All Africa Games in Morocco.

The Nigeria Judo Federation trial was held from 7th to 9th June at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Oshodi stated that the just-concluded trials organised by the federation should guide the technical team on the calibre of judokas that should be invited to camp ahead of the Games.

“The federation should be objective about the athletes that will be in camp and also ensure that the athletes are handled by competent coaches.

“The period between now and the Games should be used to fine-tune the athletes with the aim of enhancing their performance for the competition.

“Only those that will make the country proud should make the final list for Morocco,” he said.

Oshodi, who is the Chairman of the Oyo State Judo Association, restated his commitment to always support the athletes when they resume camping.

The 12th All Africa Games will hold from 19th to 31st August, 2019 in Rabat, Morocco.
