C2E Sports Academy scored 10 goals past Bayelsa Princesses FC on the opening day of the 2026 NWFL Nationwide in Aba, www.aclsports.com reports.
The competition runs until 23 August, with C2E Sports Academy recording a 10-1 win over Bayelsa Princesses FC in Group B. Agnes Ohuche put C2E ahead in the second minute before Nwaboghogu Oluchi added two goals in the 28th and 30th minutes.
Temple Glory and Ngozi Miracle also found the net in the 41st and 50th minutes respectively, while Agnes Ohuche completed her four-goal haul with strikes in the 48th, 52nd and 62nd minutes. Ogu Stella added a brace in the 67th and 75th minutes, while Amameniye Naomi scored Bayelsa Princesses’ consolation goal in the 81st minute.
In Group A, Solo Wonders Babes FC began their campaign with a 2-1 win over Spunky Blazers FA, with Ndiribe Chinenye scoring in the 10th and 18th minutes to put Solo Wonders in control before Enabulele Mercy pulled a goal back for Spunky Blazers in the 54th minute.
Onimarg FC picked up three points in Group C with a 3-1 win over NAF Queens, as Yusuf Islamiat scored in the sixth and 22nd minutes before Ogunlari Adewunmi added a third in the 90th minute. NAF Queens’ goal came through an own goal by Olufisayo Daleborah in the 14th minute.
Obosa Queens secured the day’s other victory in Group D with a 3-2 win over Plateau United Queens. Nnachi Chinemerem put Obosa ahead in the 16th minute before Oprah Emmanuel and Aliu Rofia extended the lead in the 49th and 64th minutes respectively.
Plateau United Queens responded through Okoloko Juliet, who scored in the 75th and 84th minutes, but Obosa Queens held on for the win. Oliwo Towin was sent off in the 86th minute after receiving a second yellow card, leaving Obosa Queens to finish with 10 players.
