TojeMarine Handball Club player, Daniel Bello, has reflected on some of his significant successes in handball during 2024 campaign.
In an interview with www.aclsports.com, Bello described 2024 as a defining year in his career.
He emphasized that while the trophy was important, it was the countless hours of practice, strategy, and teamwork that truly mattered in securing the coveted 2024 Ardova Handball League title for his club.
Bello said, “The 2024 handball season was long and challenging, but it culminated in the grand triumph of winning the Ardova Handball Premier League.
“I’ve always believed that handball is not just about the game; it’s about the people you play with, the commitment you share, and the resilience to keep pushing even when things get tough.”
The former Confluence Stars player also spoke about his remarkable achievement with the National Men’s Senior Handball Team, winning a bronze medal at the 13th African Games in Ghana.
He admitted that the experience was beyond anything he could have imagined.
“Winning the bronze was dreamlike; we went to the African Games with one goal: to make our nation proud. To come home with a medal, especially in such a prestigious competition, was an experience I’ll never forget. It wasn’t just a victory for me; it was a victory for everyone who believed in us.”
Bello continued, “The bronze medal at the African Games was the result of a collective effort from the entire team. After years of hard work and sacrifice, we stood on the podium, representing the strength, bond, and passion that runs deep within the handball community in Nigeria.”
Looking to the future, Bello said, “2024 is just the beginning. I’m grateful for what we’ve achieved so far, but I know there’s more to come in 2025. I want to keep working hard, keep pushing my limits, and continue making my mark in handball. The best is yet to come.”
