Forgotten Super Eagles star, Kelechi Iheanacho, was among the goals as Leicester City defeated Cambridge United in a friendly match on Tuesday.

Iheanacho came off the bench to net the second goal for the Foxes in their easy 3-0 win over United at the Abbey Stadium.

Manchester United target Harry Maguire headed the Foxes in front just before the hour mark following a goalless first half between the two.

Iheanacho smartly doubled their lead when he came off the bench to score with another header before Hamza Choudhury sealed the win with the goal to maintain Leicester’s 100 per cent record in the preseason.

That goal from the 23-year-old Nigerian will surely be a big boost for him as he looks to put the disappointment of missing out on the Super Eagles AFCON2019 party in Egypt.

Iheanacho was on the pitch against Cambridge for 45 minutes.
