Nigeria’s 3×3 teams have reached the quarter finals of the FIBA 3×3 Africa Cup in Lome, Togo. D’Tigress 3×3 team advanced to the last 8 after topping Pool B ahead of Egypt and Benin while defending champions, D’Tigers also won both games against Cape Verde and Uganda to top Pool C.
D’Tigers started their title defence on Friday with a narrow win over Cape Verde 17-16 and mauled Uganda 22-5 in their second game to book a quarter final game against Egypt on Sunday.
D’Tigress will face Niger in the last eight following their wins against Egypt (18-17) and Benin Republic (17-12) in Pool B.
Other games to be played in the men’s category: Mali play against Uganda, Cote d’Ivoire face Togo while Madagascar play Democratic Republic of Congo.

In the women’s category, host Togo play Benin Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo face Cape Verde while last year’s bronze medallist Uganda will come up against Mali.
The semi-finals, third place games and finals for both men and women will take place on Sunday.
