World record holder Tobi Amusan, finished fifth in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Lausanne Diamond League on Wednesday night, clocking 12.82 seconds, www.aclsports.com reports.

The 28-year-old, who has been building form on the Diamond League circuit, could not find her top gear in Switzerland as Nadine Visser of the Netherlands produced a season’s best run of 12.45s to stun a world-class field.

Amusan, still fine-tuning her rhythm after an intense summer schedule, had only a few days earlier impressed at the Silesia Diamond League where she clocked 12.25s to finish third.

Despite the setback in Lausanne, the world record holder will now turn her focus to bouncing back ahead of the World Championships in Tokyo.
