Super Eagles Head Coach Augustine Eguavoen has handed callups to 35 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Stars for December’s 2025 African Nations Championship qualifying fixture against Ghana.

Remo Stars’ right-back Ismail Sadiq, Kano Pillars’ versatile midfielder Zulkifilu Rabiu and Enugu Rangers’ attacking midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye headline the roster for the crunch fixture.

Others listed include Nasarawa United’s Anas Yusuf – who is the current top scorer in the NPFL, Akwa United’s Wisdom Ndom, Enugu Rangers’ Saviour Isaac, Seth Mayi of Sunshine Stars and El-Kanemi Warriors’ Abba Maigari.

The first leg of the fixture is billed for the weekend of 20th – 22nd December, with the return leg in Nigeria a week later.

It will be recalled that it was at this final qualification stage for the last edition of the competition that Ghana edged Nigeria on penalty shootout.

The winner over two legs will earn a slot at the 8th edition of the competition set aside for footballers plying their trade in their country’s domestic League.

The CHAN finals will take place across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, from 1st – 28th February 2025.

The invited players are expected to report to camp on Tuesday, 29th October in Abuja.
