Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, was on ground to lead the Super Eagles B in their first training session of final camping ahead of CHAN 2024, www.aclsports.com reports.

The camp of the CHAN Eagles opened at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne as final preparations for the continental showpiece took off on Monday.

Chelle, who called up 35 players for this phase of camping, took charge of the Nigeria Premier Football League stars for the first time.

The training session started around 7pm with the available players. Remo Stars’ skipper Nduka Junior, Kayode Bankole, Haruna Hadi, Adedayo Olamilekan, Sikiru Alimi and the rest of the NPFL champions’ contingent were present.

Others include Harrison Austin, Shola Adelani, Ayomide Cole and Leonard Ngenge all from Ikorodu City, while Vincent Temitope, Joseph Atule and the rest also took part in the opening session.

In total, 21 players took part in the session under the watch of Eric Chelle. The remaining 14 players are expected to arrive in camp by Tuesday.

The 2024 CHAN tournament will be staged in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in August. Nigeria will play their first two matches of the tournament, against Senegal and Sudan, at the Amman Stadium on the island of Zanzibar, before taking on Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
