Ezinne Onyemaechi’s last second goal gave Imo Grasshoppers their second win against Seasiders Babes at the ongoing 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League in Benin, Edo State.

Imo Grasshoppers defeated Seasiders Babes 22 to 21 goals to condemn the Lagos based team to their third successive defeats in the league on Tuesday night.

Speaking shortly after the game, Ezinne Onyemaechi expressed delight at getting a valuable win for her team in the league and dedicated the win to Late Coach, Stella Ndudi.

“I feel so happy and delighted to get the crucial goals for my team because it could have been a disaster. I am dedicating this victory to our late coach Stella Ndudi,” Onyemaechi told www.aclsports.com

“Not being tense was not in my mind. We felt comfortable, me and my teammates had that confidence. Handball is like that, it doesn’t have to favour anyone but the luckiest team always wins”.

“We lost our first match to Delta Queens due to fatigue. The team got to Benin on Sunday and played a few minutes; you could see that the team was different when we played against Benue Queens in our second match”, the Pivot said.

Onyemaechi said Imo Grasshoppers will give Safety Shooters a good fight when they meet in their fourth match today (Wednesday).
