Over 142 players will participate at the 2017 ITTF Challenge Seamaster Nigeria Open from Wednesday at the Modele Okoya hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Organisers said on Tuesday that the tournament would feature 92 male and 50 female players.

Players from African countries such as Egypt, Congo and Ghana are already in the  country for the competition.

Oshodi said the prize money for this year’s competition is more attractive than previous editions.

“This is the biggest edition since the competition started over four years ago. We have the highest prize money and also the highest entries in the ITTF Challenge Series,”Oshodi said.

The prize money for the 2017 ITTF Challenge Seamaster Nigeria Open is $42,000.
