Nigeria’s women’s 4x100m team of Chigozie Rosemary, Jennifer Chukwuka Obi, Miracle Ezechukwu and Rosemary Chukwuma won a fourth straight gold medal in the event at the 2026 African Athletics Championships in Ghana www.aclsports.com reports.

The quartet delivered a commanding performance in the final, clocking 42.94 seconds to set a new championship record and become the first team in the event’s history to break the 43-second barrier.

That result extended Nigeria’s dominance in the event, as they retained the continental title for a fourth straight edition following victories in Asaba (2018), Mauritius (2022) and Douala (2024).
