“Winning a gold medal at the 13th African games, to me is a beautiful feelings and I could remember my first All African Games in 2015 where I won a silver medal, losing to my Egyptian opponent. This very victory at the just concluded African Games mean so much to me and I am fulfilled at that very level.

She attributed the success recorded to critical stakeholders who have contributed to the growth of her wrestling career.

She said, “What is responsible is every hard work that has been put together, physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual hard work. And all this wouldn’t have been possible without the support the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa; Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri; Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi; NWF president, Hon Daniel Igali, my family, coaches, teammates/training mates, fans and many others.

She hailed the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja for the opportunities presented since he got to office.

Reuben said, “Many thanks to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja. I really appreciate him for the great opportunities given to me and God bless everyone that has contributed to my every victory in my sporting career, be it in the past, present and in the future”.
