Head Coach of Nigeria’s U20, Ladan Bosso has invited 35 players to resume camping in Abuja ahead of next month’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Enyimba defender and Skipper Tosin Adegbite has failed to recover from his knee injury and will now miss the tournament next month.

Goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu, who is also part of the Olympic Eagles, is listed alongside Dakkada midfielder Daniel Daga.

As contained in a statement from the NFF, training sessions will commence on Monday as Bosso looks to pick his final squad for the tournament that also serves as the qualifying tournament for this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Indonesia.

Remo Stars Forward Adams Olalekan and Ayuba Francis are part of the attacking options available to coach Bosso, while Solomon Agbalaka comes into the side from TCC League side Broad City.

Meanwhile, it is expected that some foreign pros will join the side before they depart to Egypt for the competition.

Nigeria, who are Seven-time champions of the tournament, will do battle with host nation, Egypt, Senegal and Mozambique in Group A.

While Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan and Congo are in Group B, and The Gambia, Tunisia, Benin Republic and Zambia will battle it out in Group C.

The tournament will hold 19th February – 11th March and all four semi-finalists at the championship will fly Africa’s flag at this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup.
