TojeMarine HC Pivot, Daniel Bello said his teammates are ready to cause an upset against De Defenders in their second match at the ongoing 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League on Monday.

Bello stated this following TojeMarine HC win in a debut match against Seasiders Kings which ended 29 to 23 goals in favour of TojeMarine HC played at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Sunday.

Bello told www.aclsports.com that the win over Seasiders Kings is a motivation for the team. He disclosed that the team were not under pressure playing against the much experienced Lagos side.

The former National U18 player said, “You should expect another massive game tomorrow against Benue Buffaloes. We are going to devour them because we are not in Benin to play with any team.

“I am very happy with our win over the Seasiders Kings today (Sunday). The game is a motivation for us because we have a target this season and we are going all out.

“As far as I am concerned, We were not under any form of pressure because we play to the coaches instructions and it made the game easier for us”.

Bello said the appointment of National U18 Girls coach, Agboola Shittu has impacted positively on the team.

He said, “The appointment of coach Agboola shittu has impacted us massively both physical and morally and even coach Bright has impacted us with everything he has and they also advise us”

Meanwhile, the Team Manager of TojeMarine HC, Olufemi Hassan said, “I am excited with the performance of the boys against Seasiders King but they need to up their game in the next match.

“The team had too many turnovers in today’s match which is totally unacceptable; I hope this win doesn’t get into the head of the boys because the journey to success just began.”
