Safety Shooters HC player, Abdullahi Atabo has vowed to lift his side in the second phase of the 2023 Ardova Handball Premier League.

Safety Shooters occupies second position with 28 points after the end of the first phase of the league in Edo state last July.

Atabo told www.aclsports.com that Safety Shooters losing to Correctional Service in the first phase was very painful.

He said his absence from the team during the first phase was felt in some crucial matches.

The Right-Back player said, “My team tried their best in the first phase of the league, finishing second position behind Niger United. I believe my absence was felt in the squad because I could have been more instrumental in some matches.

“The team is second on the log and we belong on top of the table. I will feature in the second phase and by the grace of God nothing will stop us from lifting the trophy. I was unhappy with our defeat in the hands of Correctional boys; they should be expecting payback”

Atabo said his dream is to play for a European club side and feature in the European League.

He said, “My dream one day is to play in the Europe League level because I have all it takes to be there. I hope to get a European club that is committed to the pursuit of excellence through continuous improvement in every sphere of life.”
