Super Falcons duo, Asisat Oshoala and Chinaza Uchendu were amongst the goals for their respective sides as both teams recorded comprehensive away wins.

Following a fourth Women’s African Player of the Year title earlier in the week, Super Falcons Captain, Oshoala scored four goals as Barcelona Femeni defeated CD Tacon 6-0 away from home on Saturday evening.

Oshoala was up against compatriot Osinachi Ohale in defence for CD Tacon but was a tough nut to crack for the centre back on the day, as the former Arsenal Women’s player got going as earlier as the second minute turning in the ball at the far post to put the league leaders ahead.

Jenni Hermoso then added a second on the 17th minute which was immediately followed by another Oshoala strike two minutes later to complete her first half brace. Marta Torrejon then scored her first of the game to make it four as Barcelona Femeni ended the half four goals to nil.

The Primera Iberdrola leaders continued from where they left off in the first half but this time; it was Super Falcons’ striker Oshoala running the show as a quick goal after the restart and another in the 63rd minute saw Barcelona Femeni record a convincing victory.

In Portugal, another Super Falcons forward Chinaza Uchendu was on target for SC Braga as they defeated SF Benfica by four I replied goals.

Uchendu scored the second of the four goals with a well taken left-footed strike at the near post as Braga earned a convincing win away at Benfica.

Back to Spain, former Rivers Angels forward Alice Ogebe who was recently promoted to the Real Betis Women’s first team got her debut appearance in the 53rd minute as her team defeated Madrid CFF 2-0 at home.

Similarly, Rita Chikwelu who signed for Mardid CFF this week from Kristianstads also made a debut appearance in the 56th minute as her side fell to Real Betis while her compatriot and now club team mate Chidinma Okeke continues to recuperate from a knee injury.
