The final 21-player squad for Nigeria U20 women’s national team, the Falconets, at the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup has been confirmed, www.aclsports.com reports.
Released by FIFA, the squad comprises three goalkeepers, six defenders, four midfielders and eight forwards for the tournament, which will run from September 5 to 27 in Poland.
Two changes have been made to the squad originally announced by the NFF, with Kafayat Mafisere and Folajomi Alaba Olabiyi coming in for captain Joy Igbokwe and defender Faridat Abdulwahab.
Nigeria were drawn in Group F alongside Spain, China PR and New Caledonia, and will face Spain on September 7, China PR on September 10 and New Caledonia on September 13.
For their final preparations, the Falconets opened with a 1-0 friendly win over Poland, with Mary Mamudu scoring in first-half stoppage time. They will face South Korea next on September 1.
