Also joining the camp are players who recently featured in the Nigeria Women Football League Super Six: top scorer Olamide Bolaji, Josephine Mathias, Sikiratu Isah, Amarachi Odoma, Miracle Usani, Emem Essien, NWFL-winning captain Blessing Ilivieda, as well as goalkeepers Linda Jiwuaku and Morufa Ademola.

More players are expected to arrive on Tuesday, including midfielder Deborah Abiodun, forward Ifeoma Onumonu, and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie. Portugal-based midfielder Christy Ucheibe is scheduled to join the squad on Wednesday.

Preparations are in full swing for the first match, set for Saturday, May 31, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, while the second leg will take place on Tuesday, June 3, at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, also in Ogun State.

The friendlies against Cameroon are a key part of the team’s final preparations for the 2025 Women Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco from July 5 to 26.
