Super Falcons duo Onome Ebi and Chiwendu Ihezuo were on target for Henan Husihang in the Chinese Women’s Championship play-off on Tuesday.
Henan Husihang defeated Sichuan 2-1 to book a spot in the 9th-10th place playoff as they look to end the season strongly having narrowly missed out on a quarter final spot.
Chiwendu Ihezuo opened the scoring for Henan with a fine finish in the first half but we’re pegged back few minutes after the restart after Sichuan levelled the score from the penalty spot.
At the end of 90mins it was Onome Ebi who emerged the heroine after gifting her side all three points with a late header to secure the much needed win.
By virtue of Tuesday’s goal, the Super Falcons Captain has now scored two goals in four appearances. While Ihezuo’s goal makes it her fourth in five games for Henan this season since arriving China in April.
