Super Eagles latest sensation, Joe Aribo, is a very happy man after an impressive display for Nigeria against Ukraine on Tuesday.

Joe Aribo made his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the exciting 2-2 draw against a very solid Ukraine team on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old Rangers of Scotland star didn’t take too long to win over Nigerians as he opened the scoring for the Super Eagles on the night.

Aribo took to his official social media account to express his happiness on what he described as a “special day”.

“Unfortunate with the result but (I am) happy to score on my debut, a special day for me & my family and one I’ll remember. Thank you God.”

The midfielder, who spotted the number 10 jersey worn by the now-retired legendary captain, John Mikel Obi, almost doubled the lead for Nigeria but watched as the home goalkeeper parried away his header for a corner.

Nigeria went on to double their advantage through another youngster, Victor Osimhen, who converted from the spot to lead 2-0 at the break.

However, the Super Eagles were denied an impressive win as their hosts put up a fight back in the second half to have a share of the spoils.
